XFEST North/West is an annual rock festival, Christian, credible and kinda crazy. Growing the ground of God, guitars and camper vans. Should it be that one would subscribe reason to our means, it might be manifest in terms as regards the fellowship which is unique, creative and dauntless. Our event is nonprofit, non-corporate, nondenominational. The motivation which underlies this effort is to uphold the value and benefit of Christian networks and to enjoy the fulfillment of God given creativity and expression.
Being a crossroad of genres and ministries, XFEST is three days of regional bands, camping and people. We are a grassroots festival of new friendships, community networks, and Christian tunes. We think this is of God as God has made us to be in community, creative, unique, and involved.
We hope that people will come and find for themselves a festival that is relevant and easy to enjoy. Not an event of rock-stars and tall stages, but an event where bands and patrons can camp and enjoy the fairgrounds, the music, and the last few weeks of summer together.
Though being a non profit festival, that does not mean that we sacrifice quality for being not for profit. Quality is a matter of experience, skill, and purpose. An event can be for profit and have lots of commercial involvement and yet be organized in such a way as to only serve the interests of business rather than that of the people who pay money to attend. We realize the usefulness of having the finances to effect a credible event. Our main sources of revenue is grants, community support and the voluntarism of our staff. All the money raised goes entirely and directly into XFESTs cost of operation and to the bands. So our event is by this means, grassroots and organized with quality in mind. Since we our selves are musicians, our aim is to produce a festival that we ourselves would want to attend. Having in mind a measure of quality to which we hope to aspire.
